Lincolnshire Showground is set to host what promises to be another sell-out event for St Barnabas Hospice

Following on from the December announcement that St Barnabas will once again be holding the popular 5k Colour Dash at the Lincolnshire Showground, places have been selling rapidly. This event is due to be held on Saturday 13th May.

Last year, participants were covered in environmentally friendly powder paint as they ran, walked and danced to raise over £120,000 for local hospice care.

The Colour Dash is a 5k route dotted with various coloured paint stations, ensuring participants get sprayed every kilometre. Entrants must be over 5 years old, and anyone under 16 must also be accompanied by a paying adult.

Becky Otter, Event Manager for St Barnabas Hospice, said:

“After the huge success of the previous two Colour Dash events we have hosted, we are expecting another sell-out this year.

“Colour Dash is for all ages, and you don’t have to be a runner to take part! Whether you run, walk or dance your way round, you should feel proud that you are doing it for such a good cause.”

With registration for the event in full swing, there is less than a month to book an early bird space – costing only £15 for adults and £5 for children. An early bird family ticket is also available for only £35. These prices will be valid until 1st March 2017.

Included in the registration fee is a fundraising pack, neon sunglasses, a bottle of water, a poncho and a commemorative medal.

Sponsoring this year’s event are Western Power Distribution, Running Imp, Lincolnshire Co-op, Your Print Partner and Bailgate Independent. St Barnabas has once again called on the help of Total Fitness Lincoln to lead a fun warm up before the event.
