We rely on the generosity of supporters who give us regular donations of items to sell, the time of volunteers to help run our shops and the increasing customer base – all of whom have helped St Barnabas Hospice Shops contribute thousands of pounds since they started trading.

The shops also provide a focal point on the High Street for anyone wanting information on our services, our fundraising events and activities, or how to help by volunteering or making a contribution.

We rely on good quality items generously donated by the public to stock our shops. We are always looking for clothing (especially children's and men's), electrical items, jewellery, books, CDs, DVDs, and furniture. Donations can be taken to our shops or to our Central Unit warehouse. We can also arrange collections. Donating to our shops not only supports our charity but also encourages recycling and significantly reduces the amount of landfill – helping the planet too!

If you are having trouble getting to one of our shops or you have a bulky item to donate, we can arrange a collection for you.

To request your free collection of donated furniture, electrical or other items please complete the form found by clicking the link below. We will endeavour to contact you within 48 hours of receipt of your form to confirm your booking.

We couldn't run our shops with the help of our dedicated team of over 300 volunteers. From making friends, supporting St Barnabas or increasing skills and experience, there are many reasons for volunteering in our shops. There's no such thing as a typical volunteer, ours come from all walks of life and bring a wide range of skills and experience. By joining the team you really can help us make a difference. Whatever makes you tick, volunteering is a great way to not only helping us, but you'll have fun, make friends and fill your spare time!

If we are lucky enough to have something especially collectable or valuable donated to us, then we use our Ebay shop to sell it for as much as possible. From a Beswick bull selling for £900, a 1970s record deck going for £1200, and an Omega watch for £1500, we've sold it all! Here's a great way to get some fantastic online bargains, find cheaper gas and electricity services and even book a holiday. Just click on the link for access to all your favourite shops and services. Remember, anything you buy through our Webshop will help towards our fundraising targets.

So go on, top up your CD/DVD collection, or, if you're making business purchases, why not make them from our Webshop? For example, you can buy computer equipment, great value broadband or stationery from Euroffice. There are also plenty of offers on DIY products, clothing and lots more from big high street names.
