We are all creative, yet we do not have to be 'good at art' to benefit from Art Therapy.
After an introductory session of Art Therapy when the therapist will discuss what art therapy might offer a patient and what a patient may like to do, there are one or two assessment sessions. This enables the patient to see if it does feel right for them to continue on for another four to six sessions.
A trained art therapist works with patients in the creation of art images in a confidential environment enabling a patient to look at any aspect of their lives or themselves through their art. All images are treated in the strictest confidence.
Should you wish to discuss Art Therapy or ask questions then contact your nearest Day Hospice.
