Complementary therapy is a term describing a range of therapies that can be used alongside traditional medical treatment. These therapies can help relaxation, relieve stress, control symptoms and promote the emotional and physical well being of a person.
Indian Head Massage
Indian Head Massage is a form of massage is provided whilst the recipient is seated and without the removal of clothing. It involves massage to the shoulders, neck, arms, head and face as appropriate.
Reflexology
Reflexology is the study of the reflexes of the feet (and hands) which correspond to every gland, organ and part of the body.
Aromatherapy
Aromatherapy is the controlled use essential oils to create a beneficial effect. Aromatherapy can help relaxation, relieve stress and promote the physical and emotional well being of the person.
Reiki
Pronounced "ray-key", it is simple, yet powerful technique in which energy is channelled through the hands of the therapist to the client, which activates the body's own natural ability to balance itself.
Reiki goes to wherever it is needed most, releasing blocked energies, cleansing the body of impurities, working to create a state of of balance and harmony and promoting a sense of deep relaxation.
Our aim would be to provide additional support and comfort to those living with a life threatening illness.
A number of treatments are available, aromatherapy is the main treatment and reflexology is also useful.
Anyone with a life threatening illness is eligible for referral for assessment and with your G.Ps consent treatment can start.
