St Barnabas Hospice Trust, in partnership with the West Lincolnshire PCT and the United Lincolnshir Hospitals NHS Trust, is actively recruiting a consultant to join an expanding service.
The Hospice, set in a leafy uphill suburb of the cathedral city of Lincoln provides a "Home from Home" atmosphere where patients, friends and relatives may relax and enjoy the expert care, warmth and friendship provide by trained staff and volunteers. With 11 beds, we provide palliative care for adults across Lincolnshire who are suffering with a life threatening illness such as Cancer, Motor Neurone Disease, Multiple Sclerosis and AIDS.

LINCOLN DAY SERVICES CO-ORDINATOR
PERMANENT PART TIME POST (15 hours per week)
£6.32 to £6.79 per hour (depending on experience)
Plus 7% pension allowance or NHS pension transferable
The Post-holder will support the Lincoln Day Hospice Team Leader in the co-ordination of Day Hospice services, including administrative duties in support of the efficient and effective provision of allied health professional and Day Care services and to develop effective and constructive relationships within the Trust and with external contacts within the wider palliative care communities, to facilitate clear and consistent co-ordination.
Qualifications and Experience:
Applications are welcome from candidates who are educated to GSCE standard at grade C or higher or equivalent in at least Maths and English, together with proven administration skills and experience within a multi-functional office environment, involving regular co-ordination and liaison with people (e.g. co-ordinating meetings, training sessions or social events). Applicants must also have good communication skills (in writing and on the telephone) and have basic pc skills sufficient to produce word-processed documents.

BANK STAFF NURSES
Pay Level 6A - £10.30 to £11.13 per hour (depending on experience)
Plus night and weekend shift enhancement of 30% in qualifying posts
The St Barnabas Hospice Trust wish to appoint registered Staff Nurses to work on a “bank” basis across its nursing activities in the Spalding area; including Day Hospice and Hospice at Home Services. Responsibilities include assessing, planning, delivery and the evaluation of nursing care. Further aspects involve working under the guidance of the Community Team Leader in the supervision of health care support staff and the development of nursing practice in a palliative care setting.
Qualifications and Experience:
Applications are welcome from candidates with current first or second level registration with the NMC and recent experience in acute or community nursing care.

BANK HEALTH CARE SUPPORT WORKERS
Pay Level 4 - £6.90 to £7.42 (depending on qualifications and experience)
Plus night and weekend shift enhancement of 30% in qualifying posts
St Barnabas Hospice require Bank Health Care Support Workers to work as part of a multi-disciplinary palliative care team, delivering patient care under the guidance and supervision of the Trust’s registered nurses within the Spalding Community. The post-holder will provide both physical and psychological care to patients and a degree of psychological support to their main carers.
Qualifications and Experience:
NVQ Level II in Health & Social care or equivalent is desirable on application; however, unqualified applicants will still be considered.
