The aims of the service are to:
- To provide treatment and advice as appropriate.
- To work with a patient to achieve realistic goals.
- To assess the lymphoedema and associated problems and provide appropriate advice, treatment and support.
Access to these services can be made by the following:
- Support Sister/Macmillan Nurse services within the Trust's catchment area.
- GP or other member of Primary Health Care team.
- Members of the hospital multi-disciplinary team.
- Self Referral by contacting the Lincoln Day Hospice.
- The day hospice service of St Barnabas Hospice Trust.
- The In-patient Unit or Hospice at Home team of the St Barnabas Hospice Trust.
