| Qualifications / Experience | Applicants must be GSCE standard at grade C or higher or equivalent in at least Maths and English, together with proven administration skills and experience within a multi-functional office environment involving regular co-ordination and liaison with people (e.g. co-ordinating meetings, training sessions or social events). The successful candidate will be competent in a variety of software packages, including Microsoft Word, Power-point and Excel spreadsheets. |
| Job Description | St Barnabas Lincolnshire Hospice provides specialist palliative care to the people of Lincolnshire. Services include our Lincoln-based in-patient facility, together with county-wide provision of day-therapy, hospice at home, welfare and family & carer support services.
A permanent vacancy has arisen for a Community Services Co-ordinator to support the Clinical Team Leader in the co-ordination of community nursing services in the Stamford area. The post-holder will be required to undertake administrative related duties to enable the efficient and effective provision of Hospice at Home, and to develop effective and constructive relationships both internally and with external contacts within the wider palliative care community 1) Input data onto SystmOne including the commencement and ending of referrals. Inform CQC of notification of deaths and refer families to the bereavement service. 2) Receive telephone calls into the department, dealing with those they can and referring onwards or signposting to other services as appropriate 3) Provide an administration service including but not limited to typing and dissemination of rotas and minutes, photocopying and ordering of stationery 4) To collate and disseminate statistics as requested and participate in audits as part of the overall team through the collation of information from both electronic and paper records 5) To attend local and county wide meetings and study days including mandatory training in support of personal development and that of the organisation. 6) Administer donations received into the building as per Standing Financial Instructions 7) Support the induction of new staff and students into the local services 8) Liaise with internal and external partners including PCCC, community nurses, Hospital staff and patients and families 9) Working cooperatively with the teams to support the delivery, development and change to service delivery. 10) Maintain a safe environment within the building supporting the Clinical Team Leader and Deputy Team Leader to comply with the Trust Health & Safety Policy |
