Training & Education
At St Barnabas Lincolnshire Hospice we strongly believe that education is the key to understanding the needs of both people who have a life threatening illness and their carers.
Our training and education therefore focuses on the holistic needs of patients and values their carer in the process. We value education within our organisation as an essential part of developing caring and compassionate staff, allowing talent to flourish, to provide excellence in care.
We work in partnership, to design and deliver a range courses which reflect contemporary palliative care. As experienced educators we offer a facilitative environment to encourage practitioners to develop confidence and competence in a range of topics. Our courses offered currently include;
“Dying to Communicate” a 2 day practical skills workshop
“Advance Care Planning” a study day to support patient choice in end of life.
Our education programmes are designed to meet the needs of registered health care professionals as well as experienced social care workers and professionals working in end of life care. For more details and registration of interest please click on the appropriate course.
