About the Lottery

The St Barnabas Hospice Lottery is now in it's 14^th Year and presently has around 9,500 playing members. Every Friday our weekly draw takes place and 150 winning numbers are randomly selected to receive a cash prize. All the winners are automatically sent their winnings, by cheque, within a week of each draw. We have a first prize of £2000, 2^nd, 3^rd, 4^th and 5^th prizes of £125, £75, £50 and £25. 145 other lucky winners receive a prize of £5.

When you join the lottery, you are not only having a chance to win a prize every week, you are also helping to support and secure the future of all our services.

What does it cost?

To have your own unique lottery number in the draw only costs £1 per week per number. If you wished to have 3 numbers it would then cost £3 per week. Payment is made in advance of the draws and can be made by a Standing Order, Cheque or Cash method (if available in your area).

If you choose to have a number and pay for a whole year, £52, you can opt to receive a free gift of our "Barnabas Bear". He is now in his 6th year and each year you receive him he will change in his attire and looks. Many of our present members collect him every year. We have also encouraged our members to take "Barnabas" on holiday with them and they have sent us some marvellous pictures of his worldwide travelling adventures.

Gift Membership

Not sure what to buy someone for a gift! For friends, family members and colleagues, you could send someone a Lottery Membership as a unique present. This not only gives them chances of winning up to £2,000 pounds but also the supports the Hospice at the same time. How to check if you have won a main prize
